Week 2 in Review

At the end of week 2 I have unfortunately almost completed Unit I of the tutorial. I was hoping to have finished it by this week, but things came up and mainly procrastination. At least i'm at part 8 of 10 on the Unit before I can go to Unit II. Just means I have two more chapters for week 3. I have learned how to print sprites onto screen, control the main character, shoot, background scrolling depending on the characters position on screen, and most importantly I have learned how to animate sprites. I can't wait till Unit II when it gets to collision detection, what is very vital for game mechanics in my opinion. I was able to finish the research paper for week 2 on hardware advances impact on game and simulation development. I wrote on how the advances in memory played a huge role in it's development. I was also able to write a project plan but without some sort of template, I feel like the project plan was really lacking on what could have been more detailed. Well I turned in what I had, but let's hope I can at least get half credit for what feels half-ased.
